NEIGHBOURHOOD COMMUNITIES

The Neighbourhood Community represents the smallest localised cell group that is linked to the wider parish community of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.

Each will normally comprise between 10 to 12 families living in close geographical proximity e.g. along the same street or neighbourhood.

Each community will be clearly defined by boundaries established by the coordinating body to be known as the Neighbourhood Core Team.

Each Neighbourhood Community will be lead by an appointed Neighbourhood Community Coordinator and they will be helped by an assistant.

The primary roles will include:

  • coordinating group activities
  • dissemination of information
  • regular visitations to member households and
  • the welcoming of new Catholic families who move into their neighbourhood.
